One of the most difficult decisions our clients have trouble with is the paint color. The color of your walls sets the tone of your room and, even though it can be changed, it is a huge decision. Painting a room is no easy task and so the idea of repainting a room you’re unhappy with is daunting. We have scoured our favorite websites to find paint colors that work and discovered this article on Houzz.
Here’s a quick rundown:
Blue
A great choice for the bedroom because of it’s calming nature.
Green
A fresh and clean color, green is the color of nature and growth.
Red
Always a statement color, red is energizing and the color of energy and passion.
Yellow
Mellow yellow, this color is versatile suggesting cheer, optimism, and hope.
Brown
Often overlooked as a neutral option for the wall, brown works well with any color.
Greige
You’ve never heard of it? Us either, but like the author of this article, it is a color we use often. A mixture of grey and beige, greige is another neutral that works will in any room of the house and compliments any decor.
Beige
Beige is one of the most popular choices when a homeowner is unsure of what to do. We like beige for its warming tones and versatility.
Lavender
Either you love it or you hate it. Lavender’s soft tones give a room a light, airy feeling.
Pink
More or less surprising than a lavender wall? We can’t decide, but we love this shade of pink in a living room.
Gray
One of our favorite colors, gray is quickly becoming one of the most popular cousins this year. Like brown, this neutral works well in any space with any style.
White
The original neutral, white provides a crisp clean feel. Layering white on white provides a modern feel to any room.
Black
Known to be an elegant color for clothing, a black wall is no different.
